This gotta be one of my favorite relationships ever, such good friends, just thinking of their friendship, their bromance makes me all emotional… Jonas has one of the most amazing moments on the history of TV showing his support to his best friend… i just adore them so much.

These boys… their friendship and their amazing world… these guys just are such good friends, and so loyal to each other.. i want to cry … i just have no words to describe how much i love them all and the books they are from … Maggie Stiefvater just works magic.

I know these aren’t two guys, but their bromance is still of epic proportions… now i’ve only read the first book but i hope it doesn’t develop to more than their friendship because it was so amazing, they are so much about each other without falling into the cliche of falling in love with each other, simply amazing… another author working magic.

(I couldn’t find the author of the art, please if you know who made the fanart let me know so i can give them full credit for it!!)

Oops… my hand slipped… So maybe BB8 isn’t a guy … but the bromance is real. Poe and BB8 fighting together in a galaxy far far away… these two sure are good friends who trust each other and have each other’s backs always!

and you… what are your favorite bromances?

T5W: Books From Before I Joined The Blogosphere

Top 5 Wednesday: Books i loved before i joined the blogosphere!

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (Harry Potter, #4) Harry Potter Series by J.K. Rowling

I’ve been reading these books since i was about 9-10 years old, so it’s pretty obvious that these are books i loved many years before i even thought about having a blog at all. These books are my childhood and the one stable thing in my life as a whole. Man, i love these books so much. *The Goblet of Fire is my favorite from the series*.

Daddy-Long-Legs (Daddy-Long-Legs, #1) Daddy-Long-Legs by Jean Webster

This book was read to me for the first time when i was 10 and for the very first reading, i loved it to pieces.  It’s been a while from that first time and I’ve read it many times since then, but i never get tired of it, quite the opposite to be honest, with each time i revisit these characters i love them even more.

The Gospel According to Larry The Gospel According to Larry by Janet Tashjian

The book that closes the holy trinity of my beloved ‘childhood’ books is this one (the other two titles being the ones above). I don’t think i can express in words how much i love this book… it means so much and i’ve learned so much from it. It’s a shame it’s so little people know and talk about it.

My Name is Memory My Name is Memory by Ann Brashares

From the author who brought The Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants, this book is one of my favorites. I read it maybe two years ago but as i just started reading it became an instant favorite, forever. It’s a shame not many people seem to know or talk about it in the online community because i think many would really enjoy it… I recommend it so much.

Every Day (Every Day, #1) Every Day by David Levithan

This was the first book i’ve ever read by the author David Levithan and the moment i started reading i fell in love with it and the way he writes. Honestly, i think everyone should try and read at least one David Levithan book because they are just the best. Since reading this first book and joining the blogosphere i got an e-arc or the ‘sequel/companion’ of this book to review by netgalley and then i also got to meet the author and it was just awesome. Like, starting reading this book brought so many satisfactory and happy moments that part of them i could then share in my blog… it’s been just AMAZING.

T5W: It Got Better

As always, topics for these entries are taken from the Top 5 Wednesday group on Goodreads. The group was created  Lainey. Now the group is under Samantha’s moderation, you can find her here.

T5W: Books Series That Got Better

1. Harry Potter by JK Rowling

Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (Harry Potter, #1)

I’m not saying the first book wasn’t good, because for me every Harry Potter book is great but i have to admit that when you reread them a few times you can see how JK Rowling gets more and better into the world and the story with each book… Also, Harry Potter is like wine it gets better with age.

2. Half Bad Trilogy by Sally Green

Half Bad (The Half Bad Trilogy, #1)

I have to say it… The first book was a little difficult to get into for me the first time around but i pull through and then the second and third book were perfection and i’m in love with this trilogy.

3. The Raven Cycle by Maggie Stiefvater

The Raven Boys (The Raven Cycle, #1)

I love The Raven Boys both the biys and the book but i gotta say that as you keep on reading the following books it gets even better ?? Honestly these books are so amazing, i love them.

4. Percy Jackson series/The Heroes of Olympus by Rick Riordan

The Lightning Thief (Percy Jackson and the Olympians, #1)

I have to say that though i really enjoyed the Percy Jackson series i didn’t like it as much as i love the continuation, Heroes of Olympus… May be because it’s more middle grade going into young adult, but i enjoy the latter much better than the first series… I don’t know, Uncle Rick’s books just keep getting better.

5. The Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer

Cinder (The Lunar Chronicles, #1)

I may be cheating a little here because i haven’t read the last book yet but… Like, the first book was really enjoyable and good but then the story got even better ?? So much better, i totally love those books and i’m sure the last one will be awesome.

What series do you think got better with each new book release?

T5W: Favorite Science Fiction & Fantasy Books

As always, topics for these entries are taken from the Top 5 Wednesday group on Goodreads. The group was created  Lainey. Now the group is under Samantha’s moderation, you can find her here.

Top 5 Wednesday: Favorite Science Fiction & Fantasy Books

Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (Harry Potter, #1)1.) Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling

This one is a must. Obviously, since i grew up with this series, it’s very close to my heart and it means the world to me, so it’s not a surprise this one is one of my favorites, right? Harry Potter has been there for me in my best and worst moments and because of that, and obviously because it’s an amazing story it owns my heart forever and always.

Half Bad (The Half Bad Trilogy, #1) 2.) The Half Bad Trilogy by Sally Green

I feel like not enough people talk about this trilogy, and it is such an amazing story, i truly don’t know why people aren’t talking about it.

I started reading it about three years ago and i fell in love with it almost immediately. Seriously, these books have such a fantastic story and a very jaw dropping ending. I adore it with all my heart.

The Son of Neptune (The Heroes of Olympus, #2) 3.) The Heroes of Olympus series by Rick Riordan

Little warning; huge Rick Riordan’s fan here.

Seriously, i love all the books he publishes. The Heroes of Olympus is though my favorite series, ot that i don’t love all the others. But the Percy Jackson/Heroes of Olympus characters and story are my life.

Son of Neptune (2nd book in the HoO series is my favorite book of them all).

Ready Player One 4.) Ready Player One by Ernest Cline

Oh my god. When i first read this book i became completely obsessed. This is such an amazing book, i love it. Like, i think everyone should give this book at least a chance.

Cinder (The Lunar Chronicles, #1) 5.) The Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer

The newest addition to my science fiction/fantasy favorites. I haven’t finished the series yet, but i totally love it already.  Sure, i’ve been avoiding the fact that i haven’t read the last book in the series yet, but i’m pretty sure it’s because i don’t want it to end or disappoint me.

Well, those are my favorite science fiction/fantasy, what are yours?

T5W: Books I Feel Differently About [Now]

As always, topics for these entries are taken from the Top 5 Wednesday group on Goodreads . The group was created  Lainey. Now the group is under Samantha’s moderation, you can find her here.

Top 5 Wednesday: Books I Feel Differently About (Now)*

Twilight (Twilight, #1) Twilight by Stephenie Meyer.

I remember reading this book for the first time when i was about 18 and i really loved it. Then with time when i started reading other YA novels, the hype i felt about the book weakened and i sort of felt ashamed of liking it so much at the time. Then again, now that i’m more of a reader (as i always say i was a heavy Harry Potter reader for all my teenage years – i read pretty much only Harry Potter in loops from the age of 12 to 18) i read many other and great books, but my fondness for this series came back, mostly because these are such an easy read, like, if i get in a slump, i can always read them.. So yeah, now i understand that being ashamed of liking these books was mostly a waste of time, if i enjoy them, it’s just fine, it doesn’t matter what others may say about it.

The Ocean at the End of the Lane The Ocean at the End of the Lane by Neil Gaiman.

When i first read the book all i could think was about how weird it was and how much i wasn’t enjoying reading it. But, a while after finishing it, when looking back and thinking about the whole plot and the characters i started to see how amazing the book really was. Like, honestly sometimes i just start thinking about it randomly and i cannot believe i thought about dropping it. There’s something incredibly magical and amazing in Neil Gaiman’s books and actually in everything he writes. If you haven’t read any of his books yet, i highly recommend it to you.

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (Harry Potter, #2) Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets by J. K. Rowling.

For ages, this was my favorite Harry Potter book, like i could read it in loops or at least once a month (and it went on and on for years) i was obsessed. Now, when looking back i cannot believe my once favorite Harry Potter book was the one in which Harry fights a huge snake, like… i’m so freaking scared of snakes, how could i even read and imagine that fight? I know my reasons for this are quite.. unusual, but seriously, i cannot think about that fight without shaking these days. I still like it, it’s Harry Potter after all, but it is no longer my favorite book.

City of Bones (The Mortal Instruments, #1) City of Bones by Cassandra Clare.

The first time i read City of Bones and City of Ashes i wasn’t sure i even wanted to keep on reading the (first) trilogy. The second time i tried (mostly because of the hype on booktube) i really enjoyed it and started to obsess over the books, reading them a million times and like, not being able to think about anything else. No, after two years without reading this series i try to remember why i liked it so much, and though i really enjoy the characters (even if some are a little marys and garys) i think if i started reading them now for the first time i wouldn’t be able to actually finish the complete six books. I don’t know, i’m not even sure anymore.

Half Bad (The Half Bad Trilogy, #1) Half Bad by Sally Green.

If you told me when i was only 100 pages into this book that this trilogy would become my favorite trilogy of all time i would’ve laughed. At first, i really wasn’t enjoying much this book, i don’t know i felt something was off or something, but with time i learned to love it, to totally fall in love with it… Sure, now that i know i enjoyed reading it the begining doesn’t seem some scary or weird as it was at first, now i know whenever i read these books i’ll love them, because even if at first it didn’t seem like it, they actually changed something within me and i absolutely love them.

Top 5 Wednesday: My Babies.

Jason Grace from The Heroes of Olympus by Rick Riordan

I feel like a i’m the only person that likes this dork. I mean, yeah, he is kind of dorky and all but he is such a good soul, even if he feels important because of his dad. Many people complain he doesn’t do much, like in the last book he was always fainting and such, but it isn’t his fault, in any case it’s the author’s fault. I don’t know, … i find his character really cute, being all comprehensive with Nico Di Angelo in The House Of Hades and all, i thin khe is a good leader, maybe not the best, but he did what he could with what he had, and all that was expected from a demigod as himself… i mean.. come one, so much expectation from the son of Jupiter, give the child a break!

Ron Weasley from the Harry Potter series by J. K. Rowling

Haha, wherever i find a Harry Potter fan, they always seem to hate Ron,… like, Harry Potter may be the only book i have in common with people in my real life and every person that read them hates Ron… I think it’s because he is so human in comparison to some “perfect” characters in the books … like, people hate him for feeling envious of a friend that has everything he ever wanted? Okay, wouldn’t you?  or when he left because he has jelaous of Hermione and Harry – because of the locket- seriously…? i mean.. leaving for sure wasn’t a way of doing something on the matter, but hey, again, the guy it’s only human, and i think he deserves better from the readers.

Frank Zhang from The Heroes of Olympus by Rick Riordan

My baby. It’s not that i have to protect him from people that doesn’t like him, but more like explain to people why he is so precious… i think from all the characters on the series he is the most underrated. For all I know people may care more about Octavian than him, and that’s just.. no. I don’t know.. in my opinion Frank has so much potential, he is so brave, so true, sucha good and loyal friend, and i just don’t understand why people don’t give a damn about him! OH, how i wish he would appear in the new series, such a great background story.. such wasted potential #SaveFrankZhangFromOblivion.

Holden Caufield from The Catcher in the Rye by J. D. Salinger.

I understood people doesn’t like Holden the moment i asked someone if they had read the book… it was a while ago, after i finished it for the first time and i was in love with Holden – i used to write him letters .. nevermind – and te person was like “are you insane? that kid was a psycho” … eeeehhhmmm… i never saw it that way, and since then i had to argue with a lot of people because they all share the same idea… i don’t know. It’s weird, because his character opened my eyes to so much when i read the book, i cannot understand why people hate it so much, maybe they don’t want to hear what the character has to say and that’s why they hate him so much…

Beautiful Creatures by Kami Garcia & Margaret Stohl

So, yeah… my last one isn’t a character but a series … i think this is sort of cheating but nevermind.

I’m one of the few people that actually really likes this series (?) … because of a bad second book a lot of people stopped reading the series, and i feel like it’s a shame because the third book and the forth one are actually really good books and they are missing a lot because of a bad sequel… and i know it was bad, i’m not saying it’s not… but really, give it another chance, because it gets so much better! and i’malways trying to tell people this, but once again, i don’t have many readers around in myreal life, so … let me tell you, these books are good, sure the second one wasn’t great, but then it’s so much better, so good… so good…!!

Anyway, those are my choices for this week’s Top 5 Wednesday, what are yours? share yours in the comments and you are more than welcome to link your own post!

T5W: Characters I Am Most Like

As always, topics for these entries are taken from the Top 5 Wednesday group on Goodreads . The group was created by Lainey, who you can also follow on Youtube.

Top 5 Wednesday: Characters I Am Most Like

1.) Hermione Granger from the Harry Potter series by J. K. Rowling (Bookworm, rules follower)

I guess many of us will be talking about Hermione and her love for books, in which i see myself reflected too.  The Hermione i feel more like as, it’s the first years’ Hermione, the one that goes by the rules, only thinks about her studies and is more worried of being expelled than die. Yes, i’m that kind of person… i’m totally that kind of person… one that always follows the given rules, because they are ‘sacred’ and is afraid of failing more than anything else. Also, of course ii always trust books, and see them as allies… but that’s a given.

2.) Cath from Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell (Fangirl, shipper, writer)

Have you ever read about a character and told yourself ‘that totally me’? well, that’s exactly how i feel about Cath… she is a fangirl, she likes books that people think are no longer for her age, she likes BL, she writes fanfiction… she is totally obsessed with another world. Yep, that describes me perfectly.. also, her struggling through her first year at college reminded me very much of y own, i had difficulties meeting people and making friends… only difference was i ended up dropping from college when she was stronger and wiser than me.

Charlie - the-perks-of-being-a-wallflower fondo de pantalla3.) Charlie from The Perks Of Being A Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky (Loner, social insecure)

Well, many times i saw myself in him… i mean… he struggles and suffering always reminded me of my own, no i didn’t suffer from the same stuff, but his pain always echoed my own… so yeah, i see him as one of the characters i’m most like..

4.) Simon Lewis from The Mortal Instruments by Cassandra Clare (Geek, Caring)

Well, i guess i got to admit i’m a bit of a geek, otherwise what are we even doing here? Simon is one of the few characters i found in books that as me, makes references to so much geeky stuff, other people won’t understand, watches anime and such.. like seriously, if anyone knows about other characters like this one, let me know… i need some anime fan and geek representation in my life… i’m so alone in my real life.

5.) Shinji Ikari from Neon Genesis Evangelion by Gainax (Insecure, afraid, depressed)

As much as i hate him, which makes sense (because we are so much alike), i always thought that Shinji is by far the character that acts the most like me… which annoys me a lot… I remember always finding myself understanding his side every time i watched the show. I don’t know what to say really, he is just me animated… although i don’t have a bad relationship with my living parent, but that’s the main difference between us..

And that’s all for this top 5! what are the characters you are most like?! Please share in the comments section 😀

T5W: Rainy Day Reads

Top 5 Wednesday: Rainy Day Reads

The Perks of Being a Wallflower The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky.

A great book, also one you can totally finish in one rainy day, it’s short and to the point. Also, let’s talk about how wonderful the story is, because it’s totally one of my favorites, such a touching story. I love it. A must read and reread for sure.

Me and Earl and the Dying Girl  Me And Earl And The Dying Girl by Jesse Andrews.

In case you are looking for something a little more humorous, then Me&Earl&the Dying Girl, it’s the book you are looking for… Funny but at the same time quite heartbreaking, the hillarious story of two boys trying to make a film for this dying girl and everything around it, it’s just an enjoyable reading for a rainy day.

Twilight (Twilight, #1) Twilight by Stephenie Meyer.

Yes, so i read these series when i was in my teenage years, and i loved it back then… After having read many other books, these ones don’t look to me as great as they used to, but these are a great passing by time books. I mean, they are easy and the pace flows, most of the time .., so yeah, when i’m very bored, as in rainy days or in a slump, i reread these books.

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (Harry Potter, #5) Harry Potter Series – by J. K. Rowling

As I always say, Harry Potter is a good election for any time, rainy days, beach days, flights… anything. Since you can choose how much you want to read and according to that select the book that suits you better… In case you don’t know the Harry Potter series i full of action, magic, friendship, heart and thrill. You take one of these and just let it take you to a completely  magical world.

We Have Always Lived in the Castle We Have Always Lived In The Castle by Shirley Jackson.

If the day is particularly grey and you are looking for a gloomy reading, I recommend you read this book.. It is a pretty weird book, but i’s so amazing i have no words. I think next time it rains i’ll read this, it sounds so much fun! Gosh… Why haven’t i though about it before?!

Well guys, these are my choices for this week’s top 5! which books would you recommend for rainy days?

Harry Potter Tag

It’s time for me to do the Harry Potter Tag! Since I love both; Harry Potter and tags, how could i not do this one tag?! i mean.. come on!

As always, if you know who made the original tag, please plet me know so i can give them full credit for it! The questions obviously aren’t mine, i just enjoy answering them 🙂

Also, there may be some spoilers if you haven’t read the HHarry Potter books nor watched the movies, … if so, like, seriously what are you waiting for!?

And now, let’s begin with this tag! Have fun!!

1. What is your favourite book?
It varies with time, but right now, and actually for about 3 years now my favourite book has been The Goblet Of Fire. All the possibilities that were opened in that book, i remember the first time i read it, i was in the hospital after an operation, it got me through the pain… made the time pass quicker, i even healed faster than in previous operations i had years before, I was home much earlier than expected.

2. What is your favourite film?
The Half-Blood Prince, for some reason I just love it! I actually love the book too, but, you know GoF more …

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince

3. What is your least favourite book?
The Chamber of Secrets, it has a freaking huge snake (well, a basilisk) and a lot of spiders … i can’t i just cannot stand the things that happen in that book.

4. What is your least favourite film?
The same as the book and for the same exact reasons, because it’s horrible to read about those things and even worse watch, actually maybe reading it it’s worse because read it takes more time… i don’t know… i just hate snakes.

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets [HD DVD]

5. Parts of the books/films that made you cry?
In the Order of the Phoenix when Sirius died, i hated that moment and  cried about it for a week straight the first time i read it. I loved him so much. Also, in the movies at Dumbledore’s funeral,  i cry every time… it’s just so freaking sad… in the book i was all like “okay..so he died” which was super weird … idk.

6. If you could hook up with any character, who would it be?
Well, this is weird, … i’ll have to choose either Charlie or Bill Weasley … for some reason, i just really love them both.

7. Who is your favourite character?
Hermione Granger, she is my role model really.

8. Who is your least favourite character?
Umbridge and Bellatrix Lestrange, just … i can’t i cannot stand them… at all…

BellatrixLestrange.pngDolores Umbridge 1996.png

9. What is your least favourite line?
From the book there isn’t anything in particular…

10. What would your Patronus be?
For some reason i think it would be an owl or some kind of bird, mayb a hummingbird.

11. If you could have the Resurrection Stone, Invisibility Cloak or Elder Wand, what would it be?
I really want the invisibility cloak, oh, would i like to be invisible and go around looking at the world without being scared of people looking at me because i act weird…

12. Which house would you be in?
I would either be in Hufflepuff or Ravenclaw. I’m not brave nor ambitious, so i couldn’t be in the others. In Pottermore i was sorted as a Ravenclaw, and i like to believe there is where i actually belong.

13. If you could meet any member of the cast, who would it be?
I would really like to meer Emma Watson, i think she has become such a grewat role model for young women, i would like to talk to her about some of her world views and stuff, she seems such an interesting person.

I want to meer hertumblr_inline_ndypxlFrQk1rk7l06

14. If you were on the Quidditch team, which position would you play?
I have no idea, can i be the comentarist? i’m really afraid of flying and heights… but i guess if i really have to choose… i want to be a chaser.

15. Were you happy with the ending?
Yes, i mean…it was better than anything i could ask for…my only problem was Harry’s second child being called Albus Severus, but i’m not one to complain… (about this in particular… i complain a lot about other things).

16. How much does Harry Potter mean to me?
The Harry Potter books were my first love. Okay, the first book series i fell in love with. They were my childhood and my teenagehood(is that even a word?). These books accompanied me in difficult times and in good times. When i couldn’t get books to read (back in my teen years) because of where i lived, i had always the Harry Ptter books and i read thm in loops, i love them. I’m so grateful for these books, i don’t have the words to describe just how much i love them.
