Winter Wonderland BookTag

It’s Saturday which means it’s booktag time! This time i’ll be revisiting an old tag i did back in 2015. You could find the original tag [HERE] but it became a private video and now we can’t see it anymore 😦 . Anyway, if you know who the creator of this booktag was, please leave their name and where to find them in the comments down below!

1. What book is so happy and sweet that it warms your heart?

The first time i answered this tag i said Simon Vs. The Homo Sapiens Agenda and i still stand by this choice, but new year new recommendation, so i’ll pick a different one ;

Red, White & Royal Blue

It’s sweet and warm and full of charm. I read it this year and i enjoyed it very much.

2. What is your favorite book with a white cover?

The Hate U Give (The Hate U Give, #1)

I know there are different covers to this book, but this is the one i own, and if i need to choose a book i’ll choose the most powerful i read to this day having a white cover because this is an EXCELLENT book and i think everyone should read it.

3. You’re sitting in a nice comfy chair, wearing a onesie, with a lovely warm hot chocolate but what MONSTER read are you reading?

I haven’t read this book yet, but as every other book by Murakami i Own it. Murakami is one of my favorite authors, but the edition i own of this book has almost 1000 pages, and i’m scared of big books because i fear i won’t read anything for months because i’m trying to fnish this immense book. I have some other huge books i want to read (most of them by Stephen King). I’m just scared of big books right now.

4. It started snowing so you decided to have a snowball fight! What fictional character would you love to have the snowball fight with?

Last time i chose The Weasley Twins, but this time around i think i’d choose someone from the Shadowhunters universe, maybe Magnus Bane or Simon Lewis (a recent favorite)

City of Bones (The Mortal Instruments, #1)

5. Sadly, your fire is beginning to go out. So what book would you tear the last few chapters out to throw into the fire?

Half Lost (The Half Bad Trilogy, #3)

Oh yes, can we burn the last few chapters of this book and pretend they never happened? I always say it, because i truly mean it… this book owns my heart so very much, but it broke it in such little pieces i cannot restore it. So yeah, this is one of my favorite books and i think it has the perfect ending but at the same time i wish it never happened.

6. What book is so close to your heart that you would gift it to someone this Christmas who hasn’t read it but wants to get into reading?

My mom doesn’t read fiction (at all) she just reads essays and self help books, but if i needed to give her one book so she would understand me a little more i’d give her

It might be a little “old”, but it will never not be true. This book understands me perfectly. In every way possible and i totally love it because of it so i would give it to my mom so she understands what it means to be a Fangirl for me.

I tag everyone who wants todo this tag because tags are for having fun!!

If you want you can leave your posts down below so i can see your answers too!

Reminiscing Monday #1: Fangirl

Hello there, everybody and welcome to this new addition of the blog! in this ‘section’ I’ll be talking about Books, Shows and Movies i’ve read/seen a while ago but because of reasons i haven’t talked about them in the blog before.

Here i’ll review mostly from the feelings and impressions these left in me back in the day and what i can remember to this day.

Hope you enjoy it!

Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell

Back on January of 2015 i decided on reading this book. I knew many people liked it but i wasn’t sure what to expect, mostly because so many books are overhyped, one can never know which books are really worth the hype.

Anyway, i decided on reading it because i see myself as a fangirl and i thought i may like it. In the end i didn’t just like the book, i loved it so much, it quickly became one of my favorites of all time.

I really enjoy the way Rainbow Rowell writes, there’s something on the words she chooses that easies you into the story, i got very attached to Cath rather quick, and found myself in her in such a way it was uncanny.

The book took me to the times i tried to study in College (oh, the failure), the people i met and how i felt so different from the others because of the stuff i enjoy. Cath is a character that can speak to many readers. I think she is the character that most reminds me myself in literature.

The story of the book is a coming-of-age, nothing much ‘special’ hapens in the book, but the characters a the feeling of reality in the book made me love it completely.

At times i really wondered if a guy like Levi would really fall for a girl like Cath, and him wanting to listen to her slash fanfiction was a little weird on its own… I’ve never met any guy that showed interest on that, but let’s say i haven’t met the most open minded guys in my life, but hey… i rolled with it.

I enjoyed the little pieces of fanfiction that were intertwine with the main story and it really made me want to read Simon Snow and Carry On (the one wrote by Cath and the one actually wrote by Rainbow…i think they aren’t suppose to be the same ….??).

I remember being very eager to get home from work while reading it, because i really wanted to know what happened next.

The end was very satisfactory, i enjoyed it to the very last moment, and it made me tear up a little… I still smile whenever i see the book in my shelf, because i love it so much.

Overall, i love this book way too much and i’m very thankful to it, if it wasn’t for this book i wouldn’t have known about the wonders of Rainbow’s writing… after all, because i enjoyed this book i read; Eleanor&Park (another favorite), Carry On and Kindred Spirits. … I’m still working my way towards her other two books … i own Attachments, but i haven’t found the right time for it…

I’ve been wanting to buy the special collectors edition for a while now, it looks so freaking cool! And i’m scared it may be descontinued  at some point without me buying it, but whenever i’m about to purchase it i remember there are a lot of other books i want to buy that i don’t own already and buying it feels a  little wasteful, but at the same time is one of my favorites, and most of my favorites i own more than one copy of … argh! i have no idea what to do .. The book means a lot, maybe i should really buy it… this month my ban is over (yet again) and i can allow myself to go a little wild.. it was my birthday (in March) and all … I may do something crazy …

And… that’s all for now! hope you’re all okay!

‘Til Next Time 😉

Top 10 Fictional Crushes [book edition]

We all fangirls/fanboys have them, those amazing characters that we wish coexisted in our reality, or more like, we were part of theirs so we could have them as part of our lives … […!], not only when reading  or thinking about them but for real…

Although i really don’t understand why we humans *fall* for fictional characters, and even if other people may look at me funny for it, i have to admit that i have my beloved ones too… i thought i could be fun to share the list of my top 10 fictional crushes today, mostly because i’ll enjoy seeing them all in one post together, so here we go!

Clemence’s top 10 fictional crushes:

10. The Weasley Boys from Harry Potter

Yes, i know this may look as if i was cheating, but i like them all, well, not Percy… but ou get the idea, right? I don’t think i’ve ever read the series twice in a row having a crush in the same Weasley. Sometimes i Like George, sometimes Bill, sometimes Charlie, sometimes Fred… Mostly Ron … It may be my inner Hermione, i don’t know. But I like them so much, i can’t really decide on just one of them, the Weasleys are too important to my life to make that kind of decision, i just love them all.

9. Tobias Eaton/Four from Divergent
I don’t even now why, but i have a soft spot for this guy in my heart, each time i read the books i love him even more. There’s something in the way his character was revealed to us that made him so interesting and lovely in my eyes. Idk, i just like him, okay?

8. Christian Ozera from Vampire Academy

I remember the moment Christian went for it and kissed Lissa in the first and i remember how much i fangirled over it because even though i thought he liked her i wasn’t expecting the so private Christian to actually do it… i don’t know maybe i was very wrong, but he was always my bae in those books, from the very beginning. He is such a cutie and has such a good heart, i couldn’t help but fall for him … yeah, i know most people like Adrian, but there was something in him i personally didn’t find atractive, also by the time he appeared i was already totally in love with Christian so…

7. Brady Hartsfield from The Bill Hodges Trilogy

We all have a soft spot for at least one sociopath, in my case the spot is for Brady or Mr. Mercedes created by Stephen King. He is such a little shit, i can’t help but like him. Seriously this guy is insane, and i really shouldn’t like him as much as i do, but the book and his characters was so well written, i found him super interesting, it’s kind of a guilty pleasure.

6. Jason Grace from The Heroes of Olympus

Yes, i’m aware i may be the only person that actually likes Jason… for some reason every person i talk to about him sees him as useless and a kind of idiot. But i find him amazing, also, he is a little of a comic relief in the books. Yeah, he may think he is much greater than he actually is, because of his father, but he has such a true heart and his so loyal to his friends. With his lip scar and his glasses, he is adorable. He is strong and very decided… I just love him.

5. Frank Zhang from The Heroes of Olympus
Frank became my bae the moment he appeared for the first time in Son of Neptune. Such a great guy, so amazingly talented and so unsure of himself. For some reason i felt an instantly connection with him when reading the book, something i can’t quite explain, i just adore his character. He is such a good friend and is always willing to help. Also, as i already said, he is so strong, he can transform into animals he is a great archer, he is funny, loving and aaaaaaaaargh, i adore him! ♥

4. Minho from The Maze Runner
Yeah, Minho! He is first of all, the main reason why i kept reading the Maze Runner trilogy till the end. Yes, Minho appeared in the book when i was about to drop it, and i feel instantly in love with him even without knowing he would become such an important character. I love his temper, the way he is so explosive, the perfect leader. Yes, i think he should have been the answer to the problem not Thomas, but that’s a story for a different day. Aaaaaaaaah, Minho was amazing, he is also, a great friend, strong and a great leader. (yes, i’m obsessed with the fact that he was a good leader, sue me).

3. Finnick Odair from The Hunger Games
Oh my baby! Did i cry… Finnick is one of those characters that deserved so much better that he got. I remember not liking him at first when we got to know him in the second book, but as the story unrolled i fell for him, hard. He is such a sweetheart, he cares so much about people, how he suffered when he lost Mags. This baby is the best of the best in the Hunger Games and i don’t know if people really know that.

2. Ronan Lynch

Oh Ronan!! I love all the Raven Boys, but Ronan is completely in other league. He is, even if he doesn’t want to admit it, so sweet, loving and caring. He is such a good friend and seems so much fun to be around, that time he threw Noah off the window, omg! He is amazing! All i want for him is to be happy, hopefully with Adam tumblr_inline_msh194QAX31qz4rgp.

  1. Magnus Bane from (pretty much all) The Shadowhunters Chronicles.

Okay, so for Magnus i don’t have words really, he has been my favorite character since the moment he opened the door to his apartment when Jace & company went to Chairman Meow’s birthday party (not on purpuse to the party itself). I don’t know why, he is just so fabulous, he always has something to say and he has such a good heart under all the glitter, he is my sweetheart.

And well, that’s all for now. There you have my top 10 fictional crushes, what are yours?

‘Til Next Time 😉

Being a Fangirl in real life

Sure, as people may find in my blog, i’m an outspoken fangirl, i love reading and watching tv, i ship a lot of couples, i love a lot of characters, obsess and get stressed over fictional things. Yeah well, that’s the internet me. In my real life, although i may seem a bit odd to others, they cannot fathom the magnitude of my fangirling.

Somehow, i don’t even know how i manage to hide all the oddness in me, but people seem oblivious to my craziness so far. The sad thing of it all is the fact that it’s not that i would mind people knowing how much of fangirl i can be, but i don’t have anyone close to fangirl with.

Yes, if i could find some other people who actually share the same interests i have i’ll be the most outspoken fangirl ever.

But no, wherever i go, i’m always by myself, screaming on the inside, lacking the possibility to talk about books or characters i love. And it’s so frustrating, because people seem not to care about reading at all. All i hear people talk about is parties, sex, alcohol and such, which in my opinion is boring.

The thing is, i find it sort of weird that even though i’ve been in many places i seem to not be able to find people who share my interests. Even more so, because i have so many things i know and am interested in. What are the odds of always being the lone fangirl?

Every time i sit at work, for the first minutes i listen to what people are talking about, but it quickly becomes stuff i’m really not interested on knowing. And so, because of this i turn to some podcasts or youtubers or audiobooks. Yes, those things are way closer to my interests than all the people around me.

Okay, so as my sister likes to remind me all the time, i don’t quite “live” in this world, but it’s so boring, i just can’t help it. I prefer to travel through all those amazing places, those great stories…

Real life is boring and most people i know aren’t interesting at all. They don’t even understand what’s the point of reading fiction, can you believe it? The other day i was at work talking to the responsible at my work, and he was “yeah buy why would you even read something that isn’t real?” apparently he only reads about computers and mathematics, anything else is useless (in his opinion), wasted time. Okay, whatever you say… enjoy your reading i’ll keep to mine.

To be honest, sometimes i think it would be better to just keep the fangirling to myself, mostly because the people around me is so basic in their thinking, they understand nothing about fandoms and such, so why even bother with them…

So… are you a fan girl/boy ? do you wanna talk to a nicely (crazy) fellow? i’m open to talking to anyone who is willing to fangirl/boy about almost everything. – if i don’t know the thing, i’m willing to checking it up, always –

Anyway, you can always talk to me! i’m here for everyone!

‘Til next time 😉
