Winter Wonderland BookTag

It’s Saturday which means it’s booktag time! This time i’ll be revisiting an old tag i did back in 2015. You could find the original tag [HERE] but it became a private video and now we can’t see it anymore 😩 . Anyway, if you know who the creator of this booktag was, please leave their name and where to find them in the comments down below!

1. What book is so happy and sweet that it warms your heart?

The first time i answered this tag i said Simon Vs. The Homo Sapiens Agenda and i still stand by this choice, but new year new recommendation, so i’ll pick a different one ;

Red, White & Royal Blue

It’s sweet and warm and full of charm. I read it this year and i enjoyed it very much.

2. What is your favorite book with a white cover?

The Hate U Give (The Hate U Give, #1)

I know there are different covers to this book, but this is the one i own, and if i need to choose a book i’ll choose the most powerful i read to this day having a white cover because this is an EXCELLENT book and i think everyone should read it.

3. You’re sitting in a nice comfy chair, wearing a onesie, with a lovely warm hot chocolate but what MONSTER read are you reading?

1Q84

I haven’t read this book yet, but as every other book by Murakami i Own it. Murakami is one of my favorite authors, but the edition i own of this book has almost 1000 pages, and i’m scared of big books because i fear i won’t read anything for months because i’m trying to fnish this immense book. I have some other huge books i want to read (most of them by Stephen King). I’m just scared of big books right now.

4. It started snowing so you decided to have a snowball fight! What fictional character would you love to have the snowball fight with?

Last time i chose The Weasley Twins, but this time around i think i’d choose someone from the Shadowhunters universe, maybe Magnus Bane or Simon Lewis (a recent favorite)

City of Bones (The Mortal Instruments, #1)

5. Sadly, your fire is beginning to go out. So what book would you tear the last few chapters out to throw into the fire?

Half Lost (The Half Bad Trilogy, #3)

Oh yes, can we burn the last few chapters of this book and pretend they never happened? I always say it, because i truly mean it… this book owns my heart so very much, but it broke it in such little pieces i cannot restore it. So yeah, this is one of my favorite books and i think it has the perfect ending but at the same time i wish it never happened.

6. What book is so close to your heart that you would gift it to someone this Christmas who hasn’t read it but wants to get into reading?

My mom doesn’t read fiction (at all) she just reads essays and self help books, but if i needed to give her one book so she would understand me a little more i’d give her

Fangirl

It might be a little “old”, but it will never not be true. This book understands me perfectly. In every way possible and i totally love it because of it so i would give it to my mom so she understands what it means to be a Fangirl for me.

I tag everyone who wants todo this tag because tags are for having fun!!

If you want you can leave your posts down below so i can see your answers too!

Top 5 Wednesday: Books That Intimidate Me

1Q84 (1Q84, #1-3) 5.) 1Q84 (1, 2 & 3) by Haruki Murakami

I own an edition with all the three books together, and it has about 1000 pages… i tried reading it last year, but i was huge and also, pretty uncomfortable to read from because of its magnitude. Since then i keep looking at this book each time i’m trying to decide which book to read, and when i’m about to pick it up i get scared and leave it again.

Les Misérables 4.) Les Miserables by Victor Hugo

Of all the classics i want to read this is the one i want the most, and the one that scares me the most, because of the size and because of the old language …. i figure even if i read it in spanish it may get difficult and because of that i keep postponing it until “next time” … i wonder when will it be…

Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell 3.) Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell by Susanna Clarke

Okay, so by now you may understand that i’m scared of big books very much, this is another of those huge books waiting for me in my shelf and one of those that i really want to read very badly but i’m afraid it will take me ages to finish and i don’t know with my tbr if i really have time for that… still, i hope one day i’ll get to it, because it looks very interesting and promising.

The Book Thief 2.) The Book Thief by Marcus Zusak

So, i know this isn’t a huge book as the others, but this one intimidates me too, mostly because of all the hype it has, i’m like, “what if after all i don’t like it or something?” … i was disappointed by many overhyped books in the last years and i’m terrified of being disappointed by this one, so, once again, i have it in my shelf waiting for me, waiting, waiting.. and i wonder if i’ll ever get to read it, because whenever i open it i get chills….

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child 1.) Harry Potter and the Cursed Child by J. K. Rowling, John Tiffany and Jack Throne

This is the one book i still don’t own, and the one that intimidates me the most, since the play was annunced i’ve been terrified by it, what if it ruins everything Harry Potter stands up for? i know it is written by Rowling, but many authors ruinned their books by adding when it wasn’t necessary, so i’m excited yet terrified by this book. I love Harry Potter to pieces, but i don’t know if this is something i want in my life or not yet…

And now that you know which books intimidate me, tell me about the ones that intimidate you!

‘Til Next Time 😉
