Reader Problems Book Tag

Hello everyone! it’s Saturday, and as many other Saturdays before i’m bringing you another tag! This time i’ll be doing the Reader Problems Book Tag originally created by About To Read ! you can watch her video >>here<<

And now without further ado, let’s start;

1.) You have 20,000 books on your TBR. How in the world do you decide what to read next?

Well, since i’m a mood reader i’ll probably start looking at all the books in the TBR, i’ll manage to choose a few ones (about ten) that may fit my mood, i’ll stare at them for a while and then somehow hope i can come to a decision. If it’s taking too long i’ll may decide by choosing the cover i like most or something like that.

2.) You’re halfway through a book and you’re just not loving it. Do you quit or are you committed?

It actually depends on how long the book is, if it’s a 250/300 pages book i may keep reading, if it has 500 i’ll leave it alone, unless it’s a series i started reading already … i guess it all depends on the book really… or the gut feeling i have at the moment.

3. The end of the year is coming and you’re so close, but so far away on your Goodreads reading challenge. Do you try to catch up and how?

I’m most likely to give up, having a deadline would probably put in in a stress and then it will bring me to a reading slump, which isn’t the best thing to happen when you have a reading deadline, so i’ll rather don’t catch up than stressing out too much.

4.) The covers of a series you love do. not. match. How do you cope?

I think i’ll have to just suffer in silence, i already spend too much money on books, i cannot afford to also start rebuying  books because of their covers, one day i will, but for now the day hasn’t come yet.

5.) Every one and their mother loves a book you really don’t like. Who do you bond with over shared feelings?

I don’t thinnk i’ll have someone to bond with about it, i’ll just write about it on my blog, maybe, and hope no one gets offended by my opinion.

6.) You’re reading a book and you are about to start crying in public. How do you deal?

I’ll try to be discret about it, but i’m not a person that can stop herself when crying, so i’ll do it anyway. Actually it happens to me a lot, really.., yeah, most of the contemporary books i read make me cry at some pint, so … i cry a lot.

7.) A sequel of a book you loved just came out, but you’ve forgotten a lot from the prior novel. Will you re-read the book? Skip the sequel? Try to find a synopsis on Goodreads? Cry in frustration?!?!?!

First i’ll be frustrated then i’ll probably reread the book, anyway, i loved it , so i won’t have a problem with it.

8.) Reading ADD. You’ve picked up and put down 5 books in the last month. How do you get over your reading slump?

Well, up until this last year, i usually would pick up one of my “get out of a slump” books like, Twilight, Harry Potter, The Gospel According to Larry and such, but now i just keep trying other books until i manage to finish one of them.

9.) There are so many new books coming out that you’re dying to read! How many do you actually buy?

Well, if i’mdying to read them, i’m going to buy them all, some as paperbacks, some as ebooks and some as audiobooks, but i’ll get them all somehow.

10.) After you’ve bought the new books you can’t wait to get to, how long do they sit on your shelf before you get to them?

The ones that i really want to read, like, sequels of series i love, books by authors i love and such won’t wait much, normally i have backup books – meaning ones i’ll like to read if have the time and the ASAP books, that i start reading the moment i get them… so yeah, and which ASAP book i’ll read first? well, the first that matches my mood that very moment.

And well, my lovelies, those are my answers for this tag! I wasn’t tagged, but i really wanted to do it, so now i’ll say that i’m tagging anyone that wants to do it!

Tag.. Tag.. Tag.. you are it!

‘Til Next Time 😉

Would you Rather Book Tag

Hello! and welcome once again! So today i thought it would be nice to do a book tag, since i love them so much and lately i haven’t been able to read much…So this time, i’ll be answering to the Would You Rather …? Book Tag edition originally made by Rachel Reads, you can watch her video here.

And now, let’s do this!

Would you rather only read trilogies or only read standalones?

Since i get so attached to characters, i guess i rather read only trilogies so i can fully fall for the characters before they die on me… Yes, this happens more than i’ll like to.. why this happens all the time?! argh! … anyway, yeah, trilogies are great…tumblr_inline_msh194QAX31qz4rgp

Would you rather only read male or female authors?

Never realy thought about it, i have no idea… i mean, i love books written by both male and female, i don’t think there’s a good decision to make here, i rather read both.

tumblr_inline_ndsbh3SjSL1r9kyhd

Would you rather shop at Barnes and Noble or Amazon?

Well, honestly my favorite bookstore *online* is Bookdepository, but if i have to choose between Amazon and Barnes and Noble, i’ll choose Amazon since it’s the only that ships to where i live… although i’d like very much to visit a Barnes and Noble if i had an oportunity, and go back to Waterstones everywhere in London.

loveloveplz

Would you rather books were made into TV shows or movies?

Once again, since i get really attached to characters, i’ll rather have them on my tv every week instead of only once in a movie, … i know that normally movies are more faithful to the books they adapt, but … watching my babies every week tumblr_inline_ndim3mykuN1rpp0xe

Although standalones look better as movies… let’s say ; book series – tv shows, standalones – movies.

Would you rather read only 5 pages per day or 5 books per week?

Is that even a question? …. pppffff, i’ll rather read 5 books a week, i love books, i enjoy their company very much, of coursei’ll rather read many of them every week…. silly question.E___5364ZHJBPWFG

Would you rather be a professional author or reviewer?

A professional author, even though there’s no way that’s happening, … i used to dream of being a writer, but the dream is long gone and now i’m only writing on my blog, hoping i have something that’s worth being said.tumblr_inline_ndns4kUN461rk7l06

Would you rather be a librarian or a bookseller?

A Librarian! I love book, but i hate selling stuff, actually i worked a little while as a bookseller and there was too much pressure,  like, i had to convince people to buy books i couldn’t know if they’ll like, so i prefer being a librarian, that way i can recommend any book, worst case scenario they come back and return a book they didn’t like, yes, i know in a store you can do the same, but as a librarian i don’t make them spend money …. also in the bookstore i worked you didn’t get a refund, you could buy another thing in the store, so yeah… spent money anyway.

Would you rather read only your favorite genre, or every other genre but your favorite?

Well, my favorite genre is YA, and i has all kinds of books, contemporary, science fiction, fantasy, dystopia.. so i guess i won’t mind reading only YA books for the rest of my life… i think actually that’s something that’s going to happen anyway.tumblr_inline_n61q9gT5Qa1qhdusl

Would you rather only read ebooks or physical books?

Physical books, because you can touch them and smell them and hug them and they look really nice on shelves …. so yeah, physical books are the best.em291

Would you rather read a love at first sight romance or an intense love triangle romance?

I hate hate HATE love triangles, so obviously i’ll rather a love at first sight, … not that i believe in something like that, but yeah… anything but a love triangle.

Well, guy that’s all for this tag!  hope you liked it :), obviously you are invited to do it yourselves if you want to 😀

‘Til Next Time 😉

Burn, Rewrite, Reread Tag!

Welcome to another tag! this time I’ll be doing the  Burn, Rewrite, Reread tag, thanks to Gel@geelinlovesconan who tagged me on it!

I hope you enjoy the tag as much as i do enjoy answering to them, and now

Let’s start!

Rules:

  • Randomly choose 3 books (Tip: Use the “Sort > Random” option on your Goodreads’ Read shelf.).
  • For each group, decide which book to burn, which one to rewrite, and which to reread (a lot like Kiss, Marry, Kill).
  • Repeat until you completed three rounds (or five).

Round 1:

The Gospel According to Larry  The Magicians (The Magicians, #1)  Gone for Good

Burn: Although thinking about burning a book is pretty difficult i’ll have to admit this choice is pretty easy for me. Thee book i would burn is The Magicians by Lev Grossman.

I think would prefer to rewrite it, but  i couldn’t burn any other book from the ones that were picked up for this round, so … I had difficulties while reading this book, because at first i really liked it, but then it became so annoying i had trouble finishing it.

Rewrite: The Gospel According To Larry by Janet Tashjian.

This boo has so great life lessons for younger minds, and it’s a wonderful book, but since the book was about this Internet Persona that the main character created, and the blog he used to write in, i wish there where more “sermons”(the way he called his posts) and maybe i would write a different ending.

Reread: Gone For Good by Harlan Coben.

I remember reading this book a long while ago and really enjoying it, but i don’t remember much of the story, so i would like to reread it andd see if i like it as much as i did the first time.

Round 2:

Delirium (Delirium, #1)  This is Not a Test (This is Not a Test #1)  Wolf Brother (Chronicles of Ancient Darkness, #1)

Burn: Delirium by Lauren Oliver.

It’s not that i didn’t like the book, it’s that i was spoiled of the end of the thrd book, and now i regret wasting my time reading the begining of a series i will never finish. The story was good, but … well, give me my wasted time back.

Rewrite: This Is Not A Test by Courtney Summers.

I feel like the idea of this book was good, but it was written in such cliches it was nearly impossible for me to finish it, so i would like to see it rewritten.

Reread: Wolf Brother by Michelle Paver.

I don’t remember much of this book, but i do remember that the premise was very interesting and i think in order to keep reading the series i’ll have to reread the first book because i don’t remember much of it…

Round 3:

The Extraordinary Journey of the Fakir who got Trapped in an Ikea Wardrobe  Nimona  The Struggle (The Vampire Diaries, #2)

Burn: The Extraordinary Journey of the Fakir who got Trapped in an Ikea Wardrobe by Romain Puértolas.

Last year i had difficulties finishing this book, but i managedto actually do it, just to find myself annoyed by the way it ended, in the “they lived happily ever after” way. I also didn’t like or connect with the characters, so i don’t even like it in my shelves, this book can burn for all i care.

Rewrite: Nimona by Noelle Stevenson.

This one i would like to rewrite not because i think it was badly done but because i loved it so much i would want to read it also as a novel! full of lovable characters and moments, i wish we could get this graaphic novel made a book so we could enjoy way more the dept of these amazing characters.

Reread: The Struggle by L.J. Smith.

Back in the day i was obsessed with The Vampire Diaries so i started reading the books. Since then i dropped the tv show and stopped reading the books, but i would like to reread the first three to see why i loved it so much.

The Mortal Instruments Booktag!

Since last week Lady Midnight, the newest installment in the Shadowhunters Chronicles, was released i thought it would be fun to answer to the Mortal Instruments booktag so i can talk a little about the series that started my love for this world and maybe fangirl. Obviously, this tag will be Lady Midnight spoiler free, because i hate spoilers myself!

I tried to find the original video/post of this booktag, but couldn’t find it, so please, if you know who created it, send me the information so i can give them full credit!

1. When did you start reading the TMI series?

I think i first heard about the books back in 2012, but i read only City of Bones and half of City of Ashes, then i wasn’t sure if i liked it or not, so i waited… then when i saw the movie i was fired up by the concept and started reading the books again. Since then, i’ve been obsessed with these books and the characters and the world and aaaaaaaah! I love it.

2.What is your favourite book in the series?

City of Glass (The Mortal Instruments, #3)

City of Glass, it was such a great book, i mean, even if the story ended there, it had such an energy, i totally loved it and reread it about 3 times in a row the first time i read the book, although City of Lost Souls it’s a very close one, yes, i adore these two books too much!

City of Lost Souls (The Mortal Instruments, #5)
3.Who is you favourite male/female character?

For the 40k Giveaway!morrron requested Magnus Bane! (Tarot Card!)
Art by Cassandra Jean

I’ve said it already, but well… Magnus Bane is my favorite character from the series, and from any series really, he is my baby, my bae, my everything.tumblr_inline_ndypxlFrQk1rk7l06
4.What is your favourite rune?

Voyance
Voyance

I really wish this was a real thing, if i could have the sight, that could be so awesome. Also, i reall like the way the rune looks, yes, sometimes i’m that shallow.
5.If you were a downworlder what would you be?

I want to be a warlock! Although i’m pretty sure with my luck i’d end up being a Werewolf, and it’s not that i don’t like them, it’s just, their life span is pretty much the same as humans (?) and i want to have magic and live forever …
6.What is you favourite scene from the books?

I don’t know!  there are so many! But i’ll say that one of my favorites is the heart to heart talk Jace and Alec have when they are in Hell (City of Heavenly Fire), where Alec says to Jace that he is devastated from kidnapping and he says some like “this is me in pieces” and all the stuff that Jace tells Alec about trusting him and them being Parabatai ….

Also, i always laugh when i read the scene when in City of Ashes they want to check if the fearless rune work and they don’t know how to scare Alec so Magnus goes like ‘Booo’, I always thought that was because Magnus thought Alec was afraid of what he represented in his life …

tumblr_inline_n61q9gT5Qa1qhdusl
7.What are your thoughts on Sebastian?

I really enjoyed his character, he was a fun villian and i really liked reading about all the stuff he was doing, …. also, i felt sorry for him at the end …. and i actually liked him more than i like Jace, so…
8.Favourite quote from the books

One must always be careful of books,” said Tessa, “and what is inside them, for words have the power to change us.”
Cassandra Clare, Clockwork Angel

9.Have you read the Infernal Devices?

Okay, please don’t kill me, i totally love The Mortal Intruments, but i couldn’t connect with The Infernal Devices characters… I read the first two books and tried to read the third more than three times, but the idea of knowing how it ends and imagining all that will happen to get there, just for characters i don’t particularly like, made me drop the book unfinished… I hate love triangles and i don’t have patience for that, at least right now, so it’s still in my TBR but i’m not in a rush to read it.

Well that’s all for today’s tag! Hope you enjoyed it!

‘Til Next Time 😉

Clems.

Pixar Book Tag

It’s time for another tag! Weren’t you expecting it? really? .. this time i was tagged by Aimal, you go check her blog out if you don’t know her, she is awesome 😀

Sorry it took me so long to finally do the tag,  i was short of time and i’m not a good time manager, so …you see, i’m a mess…

Anyway, Pixar Book Tag! (oh, Pixar is amazing, i love their movies so much! i don’t care if people say they are for kids, the movies are the greatest, so you see, i’ll keep watching them).

The Blood of Olympus (The Heroes of Olympus, #5)TOY STORY: A BOOK WHERE YOU WANTED THE CHARACTERS TO COME TO LIFE

The Heroes Of Olympus Series.

The Percy Jackson world is, without doubt, one of my favorite ones, and the one where i have the most favorite characters so i would LOVE to have them around, also, if all the world with the greek and roman gods was for real, ,i don’t think i could ever ask for more (unless i’m not a demigod, then i’ll have to ask to be one).

A BUG’S LIFE: A CHARACTER WHO GOES THROUGH A TRANSFORMATION

Alexander Gideon ‘Alec’ Lightwood.

This guy really changed through the book, from being the most annoying and antipathic person in the world to the cutest best friend and person to trust, becoming stronger and more decided. Every time i read the books and the novellas i’m reminded of all the way he’d come through and then i feel proud of my baby.

The Sacred Lies of Minnow BlyMONSTERS INC. A STRONG/SCARY CHARACTER DEVELOPS A SOFT SIDE FOR SOMEONE.

Angel.

So, this girl stared being pretty nasty and with everyone being scared of her, but after meeting Minnow a softer side of her is shown. She becomes a trustworthy friend, one that helps Minnow in Juvie where most of the time people just care about themselves.

FINDING NEMO. “P. SHERMAN, 42 WALLABY WAY, SYDNEY.” Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (Harry Potter, #1)A BOOK THAT HAS AN ADDRESS OR QUOTE THAT’S BURNED INTO YOUR MEMORY FOREVER.

The Cupboard Under The Stairs

4, Private Drive

Little Whinging

Surrey

THE INCREDIBLES. COOLEST BOOK FAMILY.

The Raven Boys (The Raven Cycle, #1) The Sargent Household.

Well, they are not all a family, but most of them are. The Sargents with all their different kind of powers, i totally love them. I wish my family was half the cool these people are …

CARS 1,2,3. A BOOK THAT KEEPS GETTING SEQUELS YOU FEEL ARE NOT NEEDED.

I mean, come on… i understand that we all may feel a book is getting too many sequels and we may get annoyed by it, but to be honest, even if we don’t like them, the writers created a whole new world with different laws and logic, why should they give up on their world just because, even if we don’t like them, there are people that still enjoy them. And yeah, i’m one of them most of the time.

RATATOUILLE. A BOOK FEATURING A NON-HUMAN/The Golden Compass (His Dark Materials, #1)HUMANOID.

His Dark Materials by Phillip Pullman.

So, i’m not sure f it really counts, because practically the dæmon are part of their humans, but they can  change form (when the owner is young) and then become steady as they grow, but they talk to their humans and such, so yeah, i think they count. Also, i always wanted to add the series in a booktag, and i never find the way… oh, these books are great.

All the Bright PlacesWALL-E
. A BOOK THAT MADE YOU LONELY.

All The Bright Places by Jennifer Niven.

Mostly because of the topic, but also because the book is wonderfully written and i was having a bad week when reading it, this book broke me and i had no one to even explain what i was feeling, not that anyone in my real life would understand crying over fictional characters so that moment i realized i’m pretty lonely in my love for fictional lives and characters… People are weird and mean anyway, i don’t need them.

UP. A BOOK WHOSE CHARACTERS MADE YOUEvery Day (Every Day, #1) QUICKLY BECOME EMOTIONALLY INVESTED IN.

Every Day by David Levithan.

I fell for A’ pretty fast , when i read the book for the first time, and i couldn’t help but feel sorry and sad because of the situation he/she was in. Before i knew all i cared was for A’ to fiknd a way to solve the problems he/she had and finally be able to find some kind of happiness. Rihannon is also my baby like A’. I love them so much, it hurts.

City of Bones (The Mortal Instruments, #1)BRAVE. NAME A BOOK WITH A STRONG MOTHER/DAUGHTER RELATIONSHIP.

Jocelyn and Clary from The Mortal Instruments.

They are the only ones i can think of right now, also Blue and her mother are already taken as the cool family (the Sargents).  But i guess, after all, they have a strong bond, Clary did all she did to get back her mother and all. Jocelyn lied and hid the truth to keep her daughter safe. Strong bond there, and bad parenting, because the fact that she didn’t see the stuff doesn’t mean the stuff could have seen her, it was all luck, the fact that Clary managed to grow up safely i mean.

INSIDE OUT. NAME A BOOK THAT COULD BE ONE OF YOUR COREThe Gospel According to Larry MEMORIES.

The Gospel According To Larry by Janet Tashjian.

This book is one of the books that influenced me the most since my teenage years, i know it may sound weird, but the way Josh/Larry decided to live his life was so inspiring to me, i still think about the stuff he would write on his blog. The author is without doubt one of my favorites. So, because it made me the person i am, for the most, this book is a core memory for me. I still read it once in a while.

And that’s all!! i don’t know who to tag, so if you haven’t done it yet, TAG —-> You’re It!

TAG —-> You’re It!

‘Til Next Time;)

The Desert Island Book Tag

It’s tag time again! Today i’ll be doing the Desert Island Book Tag, I saw this tag at

Water — A book you simply cannot live without

Daddy-Long-LegsDaddy – Long – Legs by Jean Webster

One of my favorite books, and the one i take with me wherever i go, it’s Daddy Long Legs . I’ve read this book so many times i can’t even remember anymore. It may not be my favorite above all, but it’s the one i would choose if i could only read one book for the rest of my life. The book has everything, it’s funny, emotional, full of wonder and beautiful moments. I just love it, so so much.

Food— A book that is a close second on your favourites list

The Gospel According to Larry The Gospel According To Larry by Janet Tashjian

Once again, this is a book i read too many times, yet, i could keep reading it forever. This book helped me shape myself to the person i’m today, and because of that it has a special place in my heart and is obviously one of my favorite books of all time.

Shelter — A book that makes you feel at home and safeHarry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (Harry Potter, #1)

Any of the Harry Potter books by J.K. Rowling

The Harry Potter series is *my home*, these books are one of the most important ones, and the most meaningful to me. I always feel safe when reading them, not only because i know what is going to happen, but because the characters are like my family.

Flare Gun — A book you would recommend to someone who doesn’t read

The Perks of Being a Wallflower The Perks of  Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky

In my opinion, if you want to recommend a book to someone who doesn’t read, you have to give them something approchable, something they can relate to… now, i know some stuff in the book may not be fully relatable, but the book is about a boy trying to find his place in this world and i think that’s something we all struggled with at some point. Also, i totally love the book and i would love to have someone to share it with.

Matchsticks — A book that warms your heartEleanor & Park

Eleanor and Park by Rainbow Rowell

I don’t really have words to describe how much this book means to me and or how much it warms my heart, it’s just an eternal fire, whenever i remember this book i just feel happiness and sadness, it’s just bittersweet and i adore it.

Compass — A book that directed you towards our love of reading

The Secret Garden The Secret Garden by Frances Hodgson Burnett

I said it already so many times, this book is the one that really got me reading books and loving them.. I read it when i was 8 (if i remember right) and it opened my mind to so many new worlds i never thouht could exist… I think  should reread it, it’s been a while since the last time i read it … it’s such a wonderful story, i cannot put my feeling in words, really ….. i love this book with all my heart.

Get Tagged:

Well, since i don’t know who did it and who didn’t i’ll leave the tagging open to whomever wants to do the tag! it’s super fun so if you haven’t done it yet, this is the right time!

‘Til Next Time 😉
