How I Read Tag

Apparently i have decided Saturdays are tag days! So, today i bring you a really cute and short tag that i enjoyed pretty much.
Please, if you know who is the creator of the tag, send me the information, because i’ve been looking for it for hours, but i can’t find it! Anyway, obviously, the intelectual propierty of the tag itself belongs to its creator, the only thing belonging to me are my answers!
Enjoy!
1. How do you find out about new books to read?
I watch a lot of booktubers, so i get many recommendations from them.. I also check readers, writers and lists on Goodreads.
2 How did you get into reading?
In my 4th grade class we had mandatory reading time, at the library there was a wonderful edition of “The Secret Garden” and i really wanted to read it. The moment i did, there wasn’t a way back.3. How has your taste change as you get older?
Mmm, i’m pretty sure it hasn’t much, apart of the fact that when i was younger i used to read more Classics than i do today, i still like middle school and ya books. Although, now i do read a bit more of  “adult” fiction, meaning books by writers like Stephen King and Haruki Murakami, not chick lit.

4. How often do you buy books?
I think i buy books every other week (?), i’m not totally sure, sometimes every week, it depends, because sometimes there’s a book i need ASAP and i have to run to the library or to amazon (kindle store) that very moment.

5. How did you get into BookTubing/Blogging?
Don’t know, i was just looking for a place to say all the stuff i think and share my opinions, because i don’t have any reader friends or acquaintances and so, because i have so manyn feeling i sort of felt it could be the right solution for my problem.

6. How do you react when you don’t like the end of a book?
Most of the time i will obsess about it for weeks, be mad, rant a lot and then i’ll act as if that ending didn’t happen..

7. How often have you taken a sneaky look at the last page of a book to see if it’s a happy ending?
I used to do it a lot, for i’m pproud to say the last time i did it was when the last Harry Potter book was released, i read the epilogue … i think it was the first thing i read on the book because i was so worrried about the golden trio.

The Unpopular Opinion Book Tag

Yeah! Today i’m bringing you another booktag, in this one i’ll be answering and revealing some unpopular opinions of mine.
if you want to watch the original video for this tag you can find it HERE

1. A Popular Book or series that you didn’t like.
Okay, i might as well get over with it, there are two series that i just can’t finish, doesn’t matter how hard i tried to read them, The Infernal Devices and Throne of Glass. It’s really weird that i just can’t finish TID, because i love the shadow world so much, and actually The Mortal Instruments are one of my favorite books ever, but there’s something about the three main characters, i just can’t stand reading about them. I may be the only one in the universe that read about Will Herondale and didn’t fall in love with him. I read the two first books, and tried to get around the third, but the ending of the second one made me want to die. Although i may one day read it, it’s the shadow world after all (if only there was more Magnus). About Throne of Glass, i picked it up because everyone was so excited about those books, but as soon as i started it didn’t feel right, i don’t like the main character, whom in my opinion is a Mary Sue, she can do everything and she is a lady and she is perfect, she is THE killer for excelence and she is only 18/19 years old… yeah, okay… you enjoy the books, i’ll be reading something else.

2. A Popular Book or series that every one else seems to hate but you love.
Well, i think i may be the only person to have loved the Castor Chronicles. I mean, whomever i check on booktube hasn’t even finished the series, which is sad, because that last book, damn it was good. I understand though that the second book wasn’t very good, but i love the characters so i pushed through it and enjoyed the rest very much. I mean… I think is one of my favorites … I love Ethan and Lena they are one of my OTPs. Though the movie wasn’t that good.

3. A Love Triangle where the main character ended up with the person you did NOT want them to end up with (warn ppl for spoilers) OR an OTP that you don’t like.
I avoid love triangles like the plague, that’s the main reason i couldn’t finish reading TID, it’s just a no go for me. So, let’s talk about some NOTPs.
From the very beginning when i read The Mortal Instruments i couldn’t care less about Jace and Clary.. Yes, they are the main characters of the series, i know, but there are so many other, more interesting, characters to get invested in, it just worked out pitchie. So, no… I don’t ship them, although i like the actors in the tv show, so it may help me like them more (?)

I hope there’s good chemistry between them on the screen, the previous actors made me very skeptic about this pair, even more than the books themselves, but it may be because one of them i just can’t stand.

4. A popular book Genre that you hardly reach for.
I don’t know how popular of a genre it is, but i find it difficult to reach for steampunk books, there are many that sound like great stories, but i’ll always find my way around it and decide to read something different at the moment.

5. A popular or beloved character that you do not like.
Oh, the Herondales. I mean, really why is everyone just drooling over Will, I have no idea. I prefer Lightwoods over Herondales and Magnus Bane over anything else.

6. A popular author that you can’t seem to get into.
I might as well put myself on a stick and set me on fire(…). But I don’t like John Green’s books that much. I haven’t read them all, just The fault in our stars and Paper Towns (oh and Will Grayson, Will Grayson) and although tfios broke me i didn’t enjoy it as much as everyone seemed to. I do respect him as a person as i follow him on YouTube because i love him and Hank a lot, but i find all his characters pretty much the same so…

7. A popular book trope that you’re tired of seeing. (examples “lost princess”, corrupt ruler, love triangles, etc.)
Oooh, as much as i love Once Upon a Time and retelling of fairy tales i can’t stand any Alice in Wonderland retelling anymore, just cannot.

8. A popular series that you have no interest in reading.
Mmm, i think the The Lunar Chronicles. I have them on my tbr list, and they are sitting at my local bookstore, i see them everytime i go check if they have brought something interesting and each time i see there isn’t something new i tell myself, we’ll i could just buy Cinder and then I’ll go… Naah, maybe next time(…) but that time never comes around.

9. The saying goes “The book is always better than the movie”, but what movie or T.V. show adaptation do you prefer more than the book?
Me & Earl & The Dying Girl, when i first read the book earlier this year i could totally see the book was meant to be a movie from the beginning and i have to say that the adaptation was great, i liked it way better than the book itself.

The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho

no time, no internet, no nothing

These past days have been a nightmare, i don’t have internet in the new apartment yet, so i’m bored and with nothing to do.. i also haven’t had a lot of free time, i’ve been pretty stuffed with so much with all the moving and so…Although i planned so much, i haven’t done any of those things. The reviews i had in mind and all are still to be written, and my room is still to be ordered… i hope will be back soon..

Thoughts, Ideas and Questions

“Watch your thoughts, for they become words.
Watch your words, for they become actions.
Watch your actions, for they become habits.
Watch your habits, for they become character.
Watch your character, for it becomes your destiny.”

FRANK OUTLAW
Late President of the Bi-Lo Stores

Let’s pretend for a second… Let’s pretend i have an idea of what am i doing, what and how to write it… because if we don’t pretend i won’t get there any time soon…

So, yeah… (let’s be honest) i don’t spend as much time as i would want in front of the computer trying to write entries, but i do go everywhere with my little notebook, trying to find the right words to describe things, words i cannot find even when my mind is so full of them, they wake me up at night because they have the need of being said, or thought or whatever they want from me.

Is it just me? I hadn’t found another person in my surroundings with the same problem, like, at first i was sure it’s normal to wake up 3am to think a little more … but at some point people started to tell me they didn’t and i started asking myself why do i need to wake up in the middle of the night just so words could cross my mind, don’t i have enough time in the day to do it?

I was told once a normal person has about 30,000 thoughts per day, but now i just read it’s about 50,000 which seems more accurate to my situation, but even then, i have the feeling that my mind is in a race and no other person is even near to all the thoughts my brain produces per day. It may sound a bit arrogant (or not, my standard for arrogancy is pretty low) but i can find myself not even having the *time* to finish one thought and my mind is already thinking about another five things and then i have to go back and finsih the thougth, because even though i know the end of it i just can’t continue if my mind didn’t finish its saying…

Once i asked my mother about it, she told me it doesn’t happen to her, but it may happen to other people, i’m yet to find them, though.

Another thing i’m looking for is people who can think about different things simultaniously,  it can be any kind of idea, memories, songs, pictures… it couldd be anything really. Also, if you know anyone who can think in colours, i would really like to know about it.

Is it such a weird thing or i’m just looking for these people in the wrong places? Like, there’s so many people in the world and so little patterns to our beings, it must repeat itself somewhere, right? Is someone out there I already know like me but i couldn’t see it in them?

I’m starting to think the problem with my entries is how selfcentred i’m when i start writing them.. As if anyone would even care about what a random anonymous girl would have to say, as if there weren’t already so many people speaking their minds on the internet, but at the same time, if they can do it why shouldn’t I?
