Hey there fellow readers! ~ ♥
So today i thought of doing something fun, and then i decided to freak out a little because it’s already June i’m 75% into my goodreads challenge (which i’m sort of proud of) and i wanted to share with you a little of my expriences of this reading comeback i’ve made since last October!
So in the spirits od freaking out i decided to make the MID-YEAR FREAK OUT BOOK TAG! As far as i could find this tag was originally created by Chami (although i couldn’t find the original video) i recommend her channel A LOT because she is super sweet and have some amazing videos!
And now… let’s get INTO THE FREAK OUT ALREADY!
Best book you’ve read so far in 2021
It’s a very hard tie between Felix Ever After and Clap When You Land. I read both of them at the beginning of the year and they haven’t left me since. The authors of both books are so so good bringing life to all the characters in the stories. These two really moved me and i wouldn’t change anything on them because they are perfect.
Best sequel you’ve read so far in 2021
I’ve only read one sequel this year so it doesn’t count but i have 4 sequels waiting on me to be read this year, VENGEFUL, MISTER IMPOSSIBLE, INFINITY REAPER and ARISTOTLE AND DANTE DIVE INTO THE WATER OF THE WORLD. I’m dying to read all these, so yeah these are the books i’m most looking forward at the moment, i just need the right moment to do so.
New release you haven’t read yet, but want to
All the ones i said in the previous “question” aside from Vengeful which came out before and i’ll add Ace Of Spades because, damn that sounds just AMAZING and i can’t wait to have it between my hands to read and be able to finally read it!
Most anticipated release for the second half of the year
I knkow i haven’t read yet Wayward Son and i promise it’s on my list for the year, but my most anticipated book is :
I mean, it’s a book by Rainbow Rowell, and she never dissapointed me as far as all the books i read by her go. So i hope i get to this book this year and i don’t have to put it aside until 2022, because i’ll feel extremely ashamed if that happened to me once more. ( It happened to me with Infinity Son and Call Down the Hawk already… come one Cleo! you can read faster!)
This book was just a huge MEH to me, i mean, i was looking forward to it because it was about a cult and such, but it ended up being so confusing and boring, i don’t even know how i managed to finish it really.
So, i read a really nice review about this book a few days back and i decided i needed to read it that very moment. I wasn’t disappointed AT ALL. It was such a wonderful read, i mean… i don’t know how to describe how i feel about it and i don’t wanna spoil much because a review is coming but this book was such a surprise for me. It came from nowhere and i loved it so much.
Favourite new author (debut or new to you)
Graci Kim for sure, her debut novel was just GREAT! I felt so alive while reading it, like the little girl inside of me got what she deserved after the Percy Jackson books. It was just amazing.
Newest fictional crush
I didn’t get any this year, or at least not yet… we’ll see as the year develops.
Newest favourite character
I loved Felix from Felix Ever After A LOT! The character left such an impression in me, i can’t help but think it’s a new favorite for sure!
Book that made you cry
Brian’s character and his struggle with mental health made me cry a lot, also, Ezra and his coming out was amazing, so yeah … i guess these two boys made me cry a river and i’m not ashamed because i’m a cryer in case you didn’t know.
Book that made you happy
This book filled me with love and nostalgia for some reason and made me so so happy to read it.
The most beautiful book you’ve bought so far this year (or received)
I was trying to remember all the books i bought this year (….) And i think this is the one with the nicest cover i can remember. It’s so inviting and pormising. I haven’t read it yet, but i hope i enjoy it very much when i do read it (hopefully next month).
What books do you need to read by the end of the year?
The ones i want to read the most are the sequels waiting for me. I have a TBR for the year with almost 90 books (that i want and in a perfect world i would read this year) but those are the ones i’m the most eager to get to.
Favourite book to movie adaptation you’ve seen this year?
I haven’t seen any this year, but i read the original book for a movie i’ve watched many times when i was a child and i loved the book very much and it was:
So i guess i’m answering the opposite of the question, but nevermind.
Are you freaking out about it already being June?! Leave your comment down below!
