Hey there, guys!
May has come again, and i’d like to promote as i did in years past the fact that May is Mental Health Awareness Month.
As we all know, life has changed from the way it used to be in the last year and a half, we have had more lockdowns than we’d care to count and many people are struggling a lot with this “new way” of living. I know it comes a little late, because last year i didn’t commented on it, but back then i wasn’t posting anything really on the blog.
So, this year around i want to rise the flag to the matter, let you know that you are not alone. If you feel like you are struggling, or you know someone who is please reach for help. I know it may be difficult to come to terms with having a mental health issue, but believe me, it gets better when you ask for help.
As you may or may not know by now, i myself have been struggling with mental health problems since i was a teen, have been taking medication to treat my depression and anxiety and have been in therapy to treat my AVPD too.
So, this month i may be commenting a little more about the topic, like recommending or not recommending books, movies, and such about the matter.
But most important than anything else, i want to let you know your are not alone in this struggle. As a person suffering from mental health issues i want to tell you everything will be okay, life moves on, you can get better and i’m here for everything you could possibly need. Sure, you don’t know me, but sometimes just letting out what it stressing us out helps a lot.
The most important thing is to reach for help, and i mean, from prepared people who can help you with your struggles, psychologist, social workers, psychiatrists and many more, but i’ll be open to listen and accompany you if you just want a listening ear.
